Okay, so now that I've FINally remembered how to sign into this silly account (and made note of it to remind me when I want to sign in again in six months), I find myself wondering why I wanted to sign in in the first place.
Mark is due home tonight, probably 9:00 - 10:00 if he zooms through the trip like he says he's gonna, and barring any unforeseen flats, overheats, etc.
Meanwhile, I have to practice at least two hours of steno and start to get our tax info in order. I told myself I had two weeks to do this while Mark was in ND and that I was NOT going to wait until the last minute. Yep. That worked. Oh, well. No beating myself up. Just start organizing. I have the kitchen counter back and cleared off, so I can use that spread papers out on. I'm just going to concentrate on separating stuff into piles for the moment. These are W2's, these are school receipts, these are Dad's house expenses. If Brian the Tax Guy needs more info, he can give us a shout.
Is it scary that I don't seem to have any trouble blowing off an entire day?? I've been doing it for the better part of two months while my legs heals, and I find I can STill do it even when I don't HAVE to sit still on the couch every day.
At the same time, I'm anxiously waiting until I can walk instead of hobble so's I can get back out and maybe actually DO something with my ponies this year. I'm looking forward to getting Fritz back into shape. I really hope that that's possible. He's 22 this year, and the last year or two have been hard on him. I'd love if he and I could still do some riding together. Of course, that means getting MY ass back in shape, too. I was 40 pounds lighter when we were taking lessons. It's time for some serious work on that front.
I'm also thinking that, with Mark out of town so much, maybe I can start taking Billy out n' about and getting him trail broke. I thought about it, and I actually have plenty of people I could ask about riding with me. Jenny Kostanshek, Jan Halter, the lady who was going to work Cody for us (and whose name I'm comPLETEly blanking on, headdesk), Cheryle Matis, Sharon Sloper maybe??, Carol Woolston and Pat Schwatz, too.
Cody will be going down the road. He's a sweetheart, I know. And I'm sure SOmeone out there will have the patience for him. I don't. He's a scaredy-cat, and I don't want to deal with that. Fritz was jumpy, but he trusted humans. I don't think Cody does. Not much, anyway.j
SARAH WELCH! I'm such a dork. LOL
There are also the people on this website/blog I've chatted with here n' there. I'm sure if I posted that I was going to yay-park on yay-date, I might get someone responding to ride with.
My plan for the remainder of Winter is to start getting me moving and back together again.
My plan for Spring is to start walking me, working ponies, and get my tack in order.
My plan for Summer is to alternate school with riding.
Maybe this blog can be my accountability to myself. hmmmm..... Step one: Hit Craigs List and check out bikes.
Well, first oughta be "do today's steno."
Once more, here goes nothin'.
